Mrs Handbag goes to Venice…

Feature by Monty Saul

Ciao! Just had a complete re-vitalize with three days in this most stunning of cities.  The last time we visited Venice, we were using it as a base for one of Roger’s historic car rallies – all frantic time-keeping, early starts and late finishes, with no time for mooching and exploring.  As you can see, Roger is now the driver of a much more highly-prized vehicle…..

The weather was perfect for meandering and the food sumptuous…easy picnics were followed by delicious outdoor(!) candlelit suppers.

We’ll definitely be going back – maybe without the buggy next time! (Although of course the Italians love all babies and nothing is too much trouble..)

Having left the home of risotto, we came home to a wonderful customer complaint card – wittily written to let us know of a hilarious typo on our pumpkin speltotto packaging a free packet to anyone else who can spot it..! Needless to say, I will be writing back to thank the customer for bothering to take the time to write and let us know.

Back at Kilver tomorrow – I wonder how you’re liking the new furniture range upstairs in the Great House, from Nordal ...lots of quirky bits and pieces, (most of them samples) and all at greatly discounted prices.

I look  forward to hearing what you think..
Xx monty (Mrs Handbag)

Ps…stop press..have just heard we have one of our crazy Grand Sales happening on 18th -19th May. Save the date, to look out for……Hunter Boots and John Partridge Clothing Sale

Pps – if you want some fresh new background music whilst working – log on to Radio 1 website and look for ‘Essential Mix – Will Saul’– went out last Friday night…really proud of our eldest son who has worked hard for the last 15 years on his music.
